Lydia Adaline Duffin was born 19 January 1870 in Pinto, Washington, Utah. Her parents were Amos Griswold Thornton and Charity Artemesia Butler. She married Hezekiah Erastus Duffin (1870-1968), son of Isaac Duffin and Mary Fielding, 22 September 1896 in St. George, Utah. They had six children. She died 15 March 1960 in Aberdeen, Idaho.

Isaac Duffin was born 31 December 1826 in Crompton, Lancashire, England. His parents were James Duffin and Margaret Gledhill. He married Mary Fielding (1827-1905) 3 June 1849 in Manyunk, Pennsylvania. They had ten children. He died 26 February 1883 in Toquerville, Washington, Utah.

Biography of John Scullin Duffin (1831-1921), son of John and Rose Ann Scullin, who immigrated from Ireland to New York City in 1851, and in 1852 enlisted in the U. S. Army, serving in Texas and New Mexico. He married Margaret Ryan in 1859 at Taos, New Mexico, and after his discharge from the Army, they settled in Leavenworth, Kansas. Includes some family history.

His grandparents were James Duffin (d. 1837), Margaret Geldhill (1796-1852), James Fielding (1797-1878) and Ann Henthorn (1799-1859). He married Lydia Adaline Thornton 22 September 1896 in St. George, Utah. They had six children. Hezekiah died 13 April 1968 in Hemet, California.
