Michael Stocker/Stucker (b.1700) probably came from the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen, as this place is believed to be the origin of the Stocker surname in Switzerland. He married Anna Margaret before he emigrated. There is reason to believe that they migrated to Bayern prior to coming to Pennsylvania. Ephraim Headlee was born 21 January 1758 in Morris County, New Jersey and died in Greene County, Pennsylvania 6 December 1822. He was a son of John Headlee and grandson of Richard Headlee. John died before seeing active service, after enlisting in the New Jersey military for the Revolutionary War; Ephraim thereupon served with the same military as an army scout.
