Lamuel Loftis of South Carolina was born in 1774 and was probably the son of Job Loftis. Lemuel married Susannah Leech. They lived near Greer, South Carolina and were the parents of eight children. Lemuel died in 1828. Descendants lived primarily in South Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and elsewhere.

Thomas Brown (ca.1730-1800/1806) immigrated from Ireland to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, married Dorothy Deering, and later moved to Kittery, Maine. Descendants stayed in the Piscataqua River region of Maine and New Hampshire for three hundred years. Descendants later moved to California, Oregon, British Columbia and elsewhere. Family records are arranged alphabetically.

A history of Leland Lewis Duncan, photographer, historian and folklorist, was born on August 1862 in Lewisham, Kent. Included are the photographs he took as a history of County Leitrim, Ireland.

Edgar G. Harp was born 14 April 1896 in Hale County, Texas. His parents were Edgar M. Harp (1853-1943) and Charlie A. Oliver (1866-1937). He married Bettye Jane McDonald (1896-1987) 17 May 1925. Her parents were Andrew J. McDonald (1855-1937) and Harriet Carver (1854-1898). Ancestors and relatives lived mainly in Texas, Georgia, Virginia and England.

Memiors of Duncan Hugh MacLellan (1917-), son of Angus Y. MacLellan and Margaret MacDougall. He married Mary Mildred Campbell in 1944. He grew up on Margaree Island, Nova Scotia.
