Richard Dungan was born in about 1550 in Ireland. He migrated to London where he rose to the position of Master Plasterer in the Royal Works in 1597. He may have married three times. The author believes he had at least three children. Some of his relatives spelled their name Dongan.

William Dungan, son of Thomas Dungan (ca. 1564- ca. 1604) and Mary, was born in about 1600 in the Netherlands. He married Frances Latham in about 1629. They had five children. William died September 20, 1636 in London in the parish of St. Martin in the Fields. Ancestors descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ireland and England.

Jack Horace Shell, Sr., son of Horace Jewell Christmas and Effie Mae Taylor, was born 1 July 1924 in Hamburg, Ashley, Arkansas. His parents divorced and his mother married Louis Shell. He later changed his name to Shell. He married Ethyl Amelia Smith, daughter of Barton Rutherford "Bart" Smith and Amelia Carolyn Farrar, 2 June 1941 in El Dorado, Union, Arkansas. They had four children. Jack died 23 April 1950 in Crossett, Ashley, Arkansas.

Jeremy Clarke (1605-1651) married Frances Latham Dungan, daughter of Lewis Latham and widow of William Dungan, ca. 1637. They immigrated to America with her four children ca. 1637 and settled in New England, where he became one of the founders of Newport, Rhode Island, and Governor of the Colony. He died at Newport in 1651. Descendants listed lived in Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and elsewhere.
