Genealogical information on the descendants of John Green, 1740-1830, through his son William, 1772-1847, both of whom migrated to Canada from New Jersey after the Revolutionary War because of their loyalist sympathies. Descendants live in Ontario and elsewhere.

Samuel Dunkin (1752-1832) was born in Newberry, South Carolina. He married Ann Embree. They later moved to Ohio in 1805. Includes records of family Bible of his son, Isaac Duncan, born in 1795.

William Sumpter (ca.1692-1752) immigrated from England to Hanover County, Virginia and married Elizabeth Patience Iveson in 1728. Descendants lived in Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.

John McClaskey (b.1816), son of James McClaskey and Lavisa (Collier) McClaskey, moved about 1820 from Kentucky to Washington County and later to Ripley County, Indiana. He married Mary L. King in 1838, settled in Bartholomew County, Indiana, and then moved to Sullivan County, Missouri, where he died before September 1873. Descendants lived in Missouri, Kansas, Idaho, Washington and elsewhere.

James Litton (1797-1887) married Anna Foster in 1818, and moved from North Carolina to Oneida, Tennessee. Descendants and relatives lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Arizona, South Carolina, Florida and elsewhere. Dr. Robert Broun (1714-1757) arrived in South Carolina from Scotland ca. 1735 He was the son of George and Margaret Broun. He married Elizabeth Thomas.

Nicholas Dickson was born ca. 1730 in Ireland and married Margaret Dickson ca. 1758 in Ireland. He died before 1786 in South Carolina and she died after 1824 in South Carolina. Samuel Dunkin, Sr. (1722-1770) was born near Dundee, Scotland and married Sarah Ann (1724-1795) in 1742. Both died in Bush River, Newberry, South Carolina. Descendants of both families lived in South Carolina, Mississippi, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, and elsewhere....
