John McClaskey (b.1816), son of James McClaskey and Lavisa (Collier) McClaskey, moved about 1820 from Kentucky to Washington County and later to Ripley County, Indiana. He married Mary L. King in 1838, settled in Bartholomew County, Indiana, and then moved to Sullivan County, Missouri, where he died before September 1873. Descendants lived in Missouri, Kansas, Idaho, Washington and elsewhere.
