Description
James and Alexander Dunlap were imprisoned in Ayreshire, Scotland in 1665 for opposition to the Church of England. When they were freed they immigrated to America where they settled first in Pennsylvania. One of their descendants, John Dunlap (b. 1755), arrived in Moore County, North Carolina between 1760 and 1775. He married Sarah Overton and they were the parents of eleven children. Descendants live in North Carolina.

Marvin Gesaman Jansma, son of Gerrit Jansma and Helen Gesaman, was born in Sioux Center, Iowa in 1918. He married Izetta Eunice Dunlap in 1944 in St. Paul, Minnesota. They had six children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in the Netherlands, England, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa and Minnesota.

Nicholas Hill was born in 1766 to Henry and Martha Hill. He married Anna Newkirk (1763-1810) in 1785, in Fultonville, New York. Nicholas joined the Methodist Society in 1796 and was ordained a minister in 1803. He married Catherine Row(e) (1784-1815) in 1811, Sarah Mosier (1791-1832) in 1816, and Sarah Hegeman (1800-1882) in 1834. Nicholas died in 1856 in Florida, New York.

James Carnachan Dunlap I (1740-1844) immigrated from County Antrim, Ireland to Botetourt County, Virginia, and was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He married Jane Wills in 1783, and moved to DeKalb, Missouri. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas and elsewhere.

Hazel Berenice Bell (1908-1964) was born in Coggan, Iowa to George William and Edna Cecille Curtis Bell. She descended from Scots-Irish emigrants as well as early Dutch settlers who had lived in Iowa for several generations. In 1923 she married Charles Blanch Coquillette (1899-1965). Descendants live in California and other parts of the United States.
