The first known member of Durbin family in Maryland was Thomas Durbin, who sailed from Bristol, England ca. 1654-1663 destination Nevis, British West Indies. Obediah and Margaret Pritchett were married about 1710 in Maryland. They had at least three sons, Samuel, Obediah, and James whose descendants are traced in this volume.
