Joh. George Klein Sr., son of Jacob Klein and Maria Madgalena, was born 13 Oct 1715 in Germany. He married Dorothea Rebmann, daughter of Conrad Rebmann, in 1737. They immigrated to America in 1738 landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dorothy died in 1777 and George died in 1783. They had seven children. Their children and descendants have lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and other areas in the United States.

Samuel Hess immigrated to America with a Swiss colony in 1712. He settled at Pequea, Pennsylvania, and had a large family. His son, Jacob, moved to Warwick township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1734. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
Includes the Bomberger, Eberly, Huber, Oberholtzer, and other related families.
Includes genealogy of Hans, or John Hess, a brother of Jacob.

John Hess (1685-1733) possibly was born at Wald (Zurich), Switzerland. He emigrated to Pennsylvania and settled in Conestoga Twp., Lancaster Co. before 1718. He is referred to in the records as "Hans" Hess. He married Magdalena "Mandlin" about 1705. They were buried in the Hess Cemetery near Baumgardner Station. They were the parents of eleven children. Several generations of descendants are given.

Michael Ludy (1817-1893), son of Phillip Heinrich Ludy, emigrated during or before 1847 from Germany to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, and married Maria Catherine Leimenstoll in 1847. Josiah Moore (b. 1749) was born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey and lived in Kingwood Township. He married Mary Lake (b. 1749) in 1770 or 1771. He was a veteran of the Revolutionary War and died sometime between 1830 and 1840. His son, Abraham Moore and family settled in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He married Emma Sophia Snoke (1874-1941), daughter of Levi Snoke and Eliza Miller, 23 November 1890. They had fourteen children. He died in 1949 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Peter Hartline was born 5 June 1788 probably in Germany and died 17 March 1837 in Franklin Township, Tuscarawas, Ohio. He married (1) Christena Palmer, daughter of George M. Palmer and Mary Houseman, 6 April 1817 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. She died 15 May 1826. Peter married (2) Regina Pfersich 3 July 1827. Descendants have lived mainly in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Michigan and Indiana.
