Bygod Eggleston (the name is spelled several ways) was born in 1587 in Settrington, Yorkshire, England and emigrated to Dorchester, Mass. in 1630, eventually settling in Windsor, Conn. where he died in 1674. Includes some information on early Windsor settlers.

The Cowne family lived at the Isle of Man before 1266 A.D., and Patrick Cowne lived at Castle Rushen, Isle of Man in 1575. Descendants immigrated to England, and William Cowne immigrated from England to Caroline County, Virginia in 1733 and married widow Elizabeth (Grayson) Hill in 1743.
