Robert Taylor Ezzell (1819-1889) was the son of William Ezzell and Margaret Catherine Ward of Gwinnett Co., Georgia. He married Nancy Ann Hunnicutt (1823-1889) in Calhoun Co., Alabama in 1845. They settled in Franklin Co., Ala. near Belgreen. They were the parents of nine children. Several generations of descendants are given. Includes Hester, Egli, Harrel, Britton, McNutt, Maroney and other related families.

Descendants and relatives lived in Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Florida, California, Idaho, Kansas, Arizona, Wisconsin, Iowa, Washington, Colorado, Nebraska and elsewhere.
