Nichodemus Keith was born in Ireland about 1755. He came to America before the Revolutionary War and settled in Virginia. He married Margaret Bordon about 1776 and they settled in Tennessee. They were the parents of eight children. Information on their descendants is given in this volume. Descendants now live in Texas, California, Oklahoma, and elsewhere. John William Sholar (1879-1966), son of Drewry Bruidges Sholar and Helen Wiles, was born in Linton, Kentucky. He married Eliza Jane Steger (1887-1962), daughter of Edwin Eugene Steger and Virginia Darden Peacher, in 1905 in New Providence, Tennessee. They had five chidlren. He died in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Brothers, Psalmet Gregoire Roulhac Dethais (1752-1808), John Gregoire de Roulhac (1758-1810) and Francis Leonard Gregoire de Roulhac (1765-1852), emigrated from France and settled in North Carolina. Traces the descendants of their many slaves. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Texas and Liberia.
