William Willemsen (ca. 1637-ca. 1721) was born in Amsterdam, Holland, immigrated from Holland to New Amsterdam in 1657 and settled at Gravesend, Long Island. He married Mayke Peterse Wyckoff, daughter of Pieter Classz and Grietze Van Ness Wyckoff of Gravesend, Long Island, in about 1678. Descendants lived in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and elsewhere.

William Anderson (1786-1869) was born near Ameliasburg, Ontario, and married Mary Way (1792-1866) about 1810, after she and her parents had immigrated to Canada from New York in 1806. Descendants lived in Ontario, Manitoba and elsewhere, and some immigrated to the United States.

There he married 2) Ann Van Dyke. They had seven children. The family later settled on the eastern shore of Staten Island, where he died in 1671. Descendants lived in New York and elsewhere.
