The bill which re-established the Militia was amended in 1762 so that all men aged between 18 and 45 years, with certain exceptions, were liable to be 'conscripted' into the Militia by ballot. This booklet contains a transcription of the surviving Militia Ballot Lists for the Buckinghamshire Hundred of Moulstone compiled in February 1831.
