Philip Christian Enders and his wife, Anna emigrated from Germany in 1764 and settled in Pennsylvania. He served in the American Revolution in the Pennsylvania Militia. They had fourteeen children. His sister Elizabeth Enders Fahnestock emigrated with them. One hundred sixty-two of Philip's and Elizabeth's descendants served in the Civil War. Casper Joseph Enders (1813-1899) married Mary Regina Schaefer, and the family immigrated about 1842 from Germany to Columbia County, New York. They moved to Marshfield, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin about 1848-1852. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Montana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, California and elsewhere.
