Description
George Mathias Winneberger (1828-1911), a son of Mathew Winneberger, was born in Germany. He married Elizabeth A. Lamm (1826-1913) in 1848. They had seven children. At some point not stated, the family immigrated to Pennsylvania, settling in Philadelphia. Most descendants live in the eastern United States.

Description
Peter Farnie (1695-1747) married Ann Smithy and lived in Earlville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He had at least two sisters and a brother living also in Lancaster County, but their parents are unknown. The children of Peter spelled the surname Forney. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Washington, D.C., Indiana, Kansas and elsewhere.
