Moses Crankshaw (d.1810/1820) immigrated from England to the state of New York, and served with General Burgoyne at the Battle of Saratoga in the American Revolution. He was held as a British prisoner in Canada between 1777 and 1784 and, before exchange, married Mary Rose in Montreal. They settled in Saratoga County, New York.
