Zaus Tharp was born 16 January 1804 in Gallia County, Ohio. His parents were Joseph Tharp and Elsey Calhoun. He married Rachel Hoover Calfrey (1805-1886), a widow, in about 1828. They had nine children. He died 8 September 1885 in Spickard, Missouri. Their son, James K. Description
Rasey Hamton Wallace was born in Alabama in 1826. He married Susan Morgan before 1850 and they had nine children. He fought in the Civil War and spent many years as an Alabama farmer. Eventually some member of the family moved to Texas. Information on many of his children and descendants who live in Alabama and elsewhere from coast to coast is given in this volume.

Brice Eneix was born in about 1780, probably in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. His father was John Enix. He married Leah Mace and they had eleven children. Brice died 5 April 1857 in Moundsville, Washington. Descendants and relatives lived in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Illinois, Ohio, Nebraska and elsewhere.

John Mallett immigrated to South Carolina from Rochelle, France in 1687. Daniel Mallett, a descendant,(1790-1845) married Clarissa Jones, daughter of John Jones of Milford, Connecticut, in 1813.
