Daniel Hanmer Adams was born in Utah in 1855, the son of Barnabus Lathrop Adams and Julia Ann Banker. He married Rosa Smith. Their children were Charlott Amelia and Benjamin Harrison. Daniel remarried after the deaths of his wife and children, to Rebecca Tanner. Their children included Lydia, Hyrum, Mabel, Avalon, Lincoln, Julia, Orland, Platt and Daniel. The actress Maude Adams was a descendant of Daniel and Rosa.

William Redfin came to the U.S. from England and was living near Boston in 1639. He moved to Connecticut near New London and died in 1662. His son James married Elizaeth How in 1669 and lived in Saybrook and Fairfield, Connecticut.
