Joseph James Merriman Evans (1863-1949) was born in Spanish Fork, Utah to Thomas David and Priscilla Merriman Evans. He grew up on a farm near Mapleton, Utah. In 1885 he married Margaret Davis (1867-1933) and they settled in Spanish Fork. They were the parents of twelve children, nine of whom lived to maturity. Their many descendants live in Utah.

Charles Noel Romand, Sieur De Lisle was born in France. He married Letitia Ingrahm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was born ca 1750 in Belfast, Ireland. Their son James was born ca. 1777 and died 8 Sep 1824. Major De Lisle was killed in France either in 1778 or 1779. Letitia married George Hall after 1790. She died ca. 1850. James Lisle was the father of six children.
