David McCord (ca.1712-1758) and six of his brothers, all of Scottish lineage, immigrated from Ireland to Pennsylvania between about 1720 and 1743. David settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and elsewhere.

Dennis Hemby (1823-1897) was the son of James Hemby and Sarah Wells of Warren Co., Mississippi. His grandfather was Dennis Hemby of Anson Co., NC. Sarah Wells was the daughter of Absalom and Mary Wells of the Tombigbee River area in Alabama. Dennis married Leonora Lee Cain, the daughter of Rev. James Cain and Anna Johnson in 1845. Dennis was the great grandfather of Mildred Ezell. Several generations of descendants are given.
