Description
William was born in Long Island, New York. He married Thankful Thomson, daughter of John Thomson and Hannah Wheadon, November 20, 1723 in Branford, Connecticut . They had 14 children. The family moved from Branford to Waterbury about 1745 or 1746. Thankful was born July 7, 1705 in Branford, Connecticut and died August 19, 1759. William died August 20, 1759.

He married in Canoyoharie, Montgomery Co., New York in 1795 Elizabeth Belinger (b. 1788), the daughter of Frederick Christian Belinger. Family moved from New York State to Upper Canada in 1822.
