Matthias Farnsworth, son of Richard Farnsworth of Eccles, Lancashire, England, was born ca. 1615 and came to Lynn, Massachusetts, ca. 1647. He died in 1688/89 in Groton, Massachusetts. His descendant, Solomon Farnsworth (1738-1811) came to Nova Scotia before 1770. Descendants lived in Nova Scotia and elsewhere.

Beulah Jessup was born in Adamsville, Utah on September 18, 1919. She was the daughter of Frank Kelsey Jessup and Rose Limb. Beulah married Franklin Dennis Farnsworth June 12, 1937 in Salt Lake City. He was born February 10, 1913 and died on August 7, 2003. They were the parents of nine children. Beulah passed away on October 2, 2007.
