James David Martin was born in Texas in 1868. He married twice, to Nellie Gouldin, and later to Victoria Hunter. He was the father of three children. In his later life he lived in Louisiana and Oklahoma. Information on his descendants is given in these volumes. Descendants now life in Florida, Oklahoma, and elsewhere.

Abijah Lee, born 8 Apr 1733, and Abiah Smith had four sons, Abijah (1764), Abner(1759), Samuel (1756), and William Henry (1762), who served in the American Revolution. They were born in Connecticut. Their descendants have lived in New York, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, and other areas in the United States.

Charles Finley was born at Glasgow, Scotland, in 1736, the son of John and Mary Oglivie Finley. He migrated to Dublin, Ireland, and in 1767, immigrated to America, where he settled prior to 1775 in or near Hillsboro, North Carolina. He and his second wife, Sarah Nancy McDowell, had nine children, 1775-1791. He died at Hillsboro in 1836. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and elsewhere.

Theodore Evert Finley was born in Illinoiis in 1904. He married Bessie Mildred Norton in 1924 and they had 6 children.
