William Gault was born about the year 1735 in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He married Rebecca Coffee about the year 1762, who was born in Virginia. He was in the Revolutionary War. They had thirteen children, six boys and seven girls. William died in 1803 in North Carolina. Rebecca moved to Williamson County, Tennessee, taking with her six children, three boys and three girls. She later moved to Lincoln County, Tennessee.

Benjamin Wilson was born 6 January 1733 in James City County, Virginia. His parents were Willis Wilson and Elizabeth Goodrich. He married Anne Seay, daughter of James Seay, Sr., in 1754. They had thirteen children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia and North Carolina.

Matthew Rushing (ca. 1760-ca. 1840) was born in North Carolina and married Sarah (Harrell) Howell in Anson County, North Carolina. He died in Amite County, Mississippi. Descendants lived in Mississippi, Louisiana, and elsewhere.
