Andrew Finley was born 10 Aug 1750 in Cumerland County, Pennsylvania to John Finley and Martha Berkeley or Barclay. He married Ginsey (Jennetta) Jack, daughter of (?) and Eleanor (Stevenson, Sinson) Jack. Andrew's will is dated Sept. 14, 1827 and proven Aug. 26, 1829. Andrew and Ginsey were the parents of at least 4 children. Descendants have lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota and elsewhere in the United States.

John Robert Finley (1843-1930) was born in Laurens County, South Carolina and was the great-grandson of Paul Finley (1760-1843) of South Carolina.
