James Flack (b. 1708) came to America in 1733 from Ireland and settled in Pennsylvania. He married Ann Baxter in 1734 and they had 10 children most of whom moved to North Carolina and Kentucky.

Description
Benjamin Flack (1781-1850) was born in Perry County, Pennsylvania. He migrated to Norfolk, Virginia, and then to Jackson County, Ohio, where he married Mary Ann Dever, in 1819. They had eleven children, ca. 1819-1841. Benjamin and Mary Ann are buried in the Flack Cemetery near Minford, Scioto County, Ohio. Descendants lived in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and elsewhere.

Reuel Suster Flack (1883-1950) was born and died in Pennsylvania. He was the son of Pierce and Menerva Snyder Flack. In 1905, he married Agnes Clarissa Shaffer (1887-1983), who was one of eleven children of Soloman and Clarissa Christner of Scottsdale, Penn. Their Faust, Christner and Miller ancestors were probably from Germany.

James Hemphill, Sr. (with two brothers) immigrated from Ireland to Philadelphia prior to 1747. With his wife, Susanna/Shusanah, and family, he migrated to Chester County, Pennsylvania, to Augusta County, Virginia and settled in Rowan County, N. C., where he died about 1784.
