Description
John Key was born ca. 1696 and was in Spotsylvania County, Virginia in 1724. He later moved to Albemarle County ca. 1732. He was probably married to Martha Tandy. Another Key family was that of Martin Key who died in 1757. His second wife was Elizabeth Burford and he lived in Louisa County. Descendants of these families later moved into Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, and elsewhere. Includes information on other Key families in early Virginia.

Description
John Tuck (ca.1730-1801), probably a son of Bennett Tuck, was born in either England or one of the coastal counties of Virginia. He moved about 1750 to Halifax County, Virginia, and married Mary Powell in 1757. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere.

Encinal County was created 1 Feb. 1858 from Webb County, but was never organized. It was discontinued and returned to Webb County on 12 Mar. 1899. Whatever records were created and found with the records of Webb County.
