Description
Samuel Fogg was evidently among the very early, if not the first settlers of Hampton, New Hampshire, in 1638. He married 1) Anna Shaw, daughter of Roger Shaw, 10 October 1652. She died in about 1661. He married 2) Mary, daughter of Robert Page, in about 1662. In his will he named his wife, Mary, four sons and two daughters. He died in Hampton, 10 October 1672. Descendants lived in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Maine and elsewhere.

Josiah Fogg was born 1726 in Hampton, New Hampshire. His grandfather (Samuel Fogg) lived in Exeter, England and immigrated to the United States in 1630. Josiah was an active patriot during the Revolutionary War and earned the rank of major. He married Sarah (surname unknown) sometime prior to the year 1778. Josiah died in Deerfield, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire. Descendants lived primarily in Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Oren Fogg was born a Exeter, New Hampshire, in 1794, probably the son of Stephen and Nancy Batchelder Fogg. He served as a volunteer in the War of 1812. He married Mary Jane Abbott at Sandwich, New Hampshire, 23 Feb. 1826. They had four sons and a daughter. He died at Deerfield, New Hampshire, 12 June 1853.
