John Ryall Foot was born January 6, 1806 in Wincanton, Sommersetshire, England. He married Maria Ann Spencer April 9, 1833 in Carbonear, Newfoundland, Canada. She was born February 17, 1813 and died September 6, 1857. They had twelve children.

William Edward Foot (1830-1918), son of Simon Foot (1795-1873) and Mary Anne Glascock (1808-1900), was born in Rockfield House, Dublin, Ireland. He married Jane Charlotte Read (1827-1906). They had seven children. They immigrated to Canada in 1871. He died in Parry Sound, Ontario. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Ireland and Ontario.
