Libeus Forbes (b. 1773) was baptized at Upton, Worcester Co., Mass. He was the son of Absolom Forbes and third greatgrandson of John Forbes, the immigrant ancestor originally of Scotland, who came to this country from Holland in 1628, and settled in Duxbury, Massachusetts.
