William Gault was born about the year 1735 in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He married Rebecca Coffee about the year 1762, who was born in Virginia. He was in the Revolutionary War. They had thirteen children, six boys and seven girls. William died in 1803 in North Carolina. Rebecca moved to Williamson County, Tennessee, taking with her six children, three boys and three girls.
