Sands Stanley was born before 1741. He married Zilpha Edwards, ca. 1759, in Dobbs (now Craven) County, North Carolina. All their children were born there. The family moved about 7 miles west of Darlington, Cheraw District, South Carolina. Sands died on 19 Nov. 1799.
