Andrew Hoover (Andreas Huber), 1723-1794, immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1738, and married Margaret Pfautze about 1745. They had thirteen children, ca. 1746-1773. Andrew and Margaret Hoover migrated to Carrol County, Maryland, in 1746, and with their family migrated to Randolph County, North Carolina, ca. 1772. Descendants listed lived in North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and elsewhere.

Jesse Coffey (1781-1850), son of Ashborn Coffey and Molly Nightengale and grandson of William Coffee, married Tabitha Riffe, and lived in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Their eldest daughter, Polly, married Jeremiah Vardaman in 1829. Jeremiah was a direct descendant of John Vardaman, who emigrated from Sweden in 1720-1725.
