Reverend George Tarvin was born in about 1744 in Charles County, Maryland. He married Sarah Craycraft in 1767 and was ordained a minister in the Dunkard religion at about the same time. He had thirteen children. The family moved to Kentucky in 1795. George died in 1813 in Augusta, Kentucky. His son, George IV, was born in 1789 in Hampshire County, West Virginia. Leonard Calvert (1610-1647) was the second son and sixth child of George Calvert (1579/1580-1632) the first Lord Baltimore. Leonard accompanied his father to Newfoundland, then returned to England. John Jacob Rector (Hans Jacob Richter) (1674-ca. 1728) was born in Trupbach, Germany. He married Elizabeth Fishback (Elisabeth Fischbach) in 1711. They arrived in America in 1714 and with a few other families settled Germantown, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri and later throughout the United States.
