Chiefly a record of some of papers of Persifor Frazer and his son John Frazer. Persifor was born ca. 1667 probably in Scotland. He married Margery(Margaret) Clayton/Calton/Carlton ca. 1700. He died ca. 1740. They were the parents of seven children. John was born 8 Aug 1709 in Glasslough, Ireland. He married Mary Smith, daughter of Robert Smith and Mary Douglass, 16 Jun 1735 in Glasslough, Ireland. He and Mary immigrated to America 28 Jun 1735. Descendants...

Susannah Rebecca Frazer was born 29 October 1823 in Charleston, South Carolina. Her parents were William Milligan Frazer and Maria Susannah Purdy. She married John Garland Owen (1818-1867), son of Garland Owen and Sally Woolbright, 24 January 1843 in Augusta, Georgia. They had nine children. She died 11 January 1870 in Mobile, Alabama. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.

Henry Ozbun Way and Ann Millis Frazer Way were the parents of nine children. Their daughter, Mary Matilda (1841-1932) married William P. Brown (1838-1910) in 1864 and they had at least six children. The diaries cover the years of their migration from Iowa to Indiana and thence to California. Henry and William died in Los Angeles, Mary Matilda died in Whittier and Ann died in Pasadena.

Thomas Frazier (b.ca.1726) immigrated with two brothers, Samuel and George, from Scotland to Pennsylvania. Thomas then moved to Guilford County, North Carolina. Either Thomas or his immediate descendants were Quakers, and many descendants thereafter. Francis Frazier II (1842-1925), a direct descendant, moved to Randolph County, Indiana.
