William Frierson, born in Ireland, immigrated to the United States where he died in 1773. He married Mary about 1725 and they had six children. Mary died after 1773. Their descendants have lived in South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana and other areas throughout the United States.

Among the people trying to escape religious persecution in Scotland and Ireland were James Mills and his wife Jean. James and Jean joined the many emigrants coming to the promised land in the early 1700s. James was born ca 1726. He married Jean (James?) somewhere around 1747. Their son William was born ca 1748 after they were settled in Prince Frederick, Craven county. James died at the age of 29 in Sumter county in 1756.

Morgan Davis (or Davies) was a pioneer in the portion of pre-Revolutionary Rowan Co., North Carolina, that later became Stokes County. His birthplace is unknown, but he was in Rowan Co. as early as 1759. He married Sarah (Reed?) in 1763 and remained in Rowan Co. until he left for Tennessee in 1801. Descendants and relatives lived in Tennessee, Oklahoma, California, Missouri, and elsewhere.
