John Jacob Byerly (d. ca. 1771) and his family, emigrated from the Palatinate of Germany, ca. 1750 and settled first in Pennsylvania, then followed the German migration to North Carolina. He and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, had at least six children, ca. 1745-before 1760. John Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Byerly are buried at the Beck's Church Cemetry, Rowan County, North Carolina. Marx Ilgenfritz (b. ca. 1550) was born in Oberwornitz, Middle Franconia, Germany. He married Margaretha Hesenauer (1550-1602) and they became the parents of seven children. Several of his descendants, including Johan Georg Ilgenfritz (1728-1810), immigrated to America and settled in Pennsylvania. Johan was married twice and was the father of seventeen children. Descendants live in Pennsylvania and other parts of the United States.

William Thompson was born in Ireland in about 1797. He married Leticia Kyle in about 1826. They had twelve children. They emigrated in 1848 and settled in Pickaway County, Ohio. William died in Noble County, Indiana. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Indiana and Ohio.

John Sadler Donaldson was born 20 November 1838 in Parkman, Ohio. His parents were Thomas Donaldson and Phoebe Hibert. He married Delia Diademia Lovell 30 January 1869 in Sloan, Iowa. They had seven children. He was murdered while gold prospecting in Idaho in 1902. Includes newspaper reports and court proceedings concerning his murder and that of his partner E. M. Fritz.

Johannes Veller was born in 1820 at Krasnoyar, Samara, Vola Republic, Russia. He married Anna Elisabeth Zeitler. Their descendants lived in Russia, Germany, Illinois, Michigan, California, Ontario, and elsewhere. One descendant, Johannes Heinrich Veller (1886-1957), married Sophia Maria Franz in Fiddichow, Pommern, Germany in 1908 and they later immigrated to Illinois in 1923.
