William Bradbury and his family sailed for America on 7 February 1849. On 1 July 1839, William had been baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in England. He married Margaret Townsend ca 1842 and had four children of which two died. The Rinker family originated in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. Hans Jakob Rinker (1724-1797) was born in Nuerensdorf, Switzerland and immigrated to America with his wife Susanna Bachmann.
