Johann Justus Günther, son of Johann Heinrich Günther (1774-) and J. Sofia Charlote Duntemann (1775-1803), was born in 1800 in Schlarpe, Germany. He married Caoline Charlotte Wolkenhauer. H e died in 1862 in Monee, Illinois.

The Guenther family appears to have originated in Switzerland. Members of the family converted to the Anabaptist movement and were forced to flee first to Moravia and later to the valley of the Vistula in Poland and west Prussia. Eventually members of the family became Mennonites and moved to the Ukraine where a number of Germans were settling. Heinrich Peter Rau (1822-1874), son of Johann Friedrich Rau (1795-1858) and Wilhelmina Günther (b. 1797), was born in Dobrinka, Russia. He married Anna Elisabeth Relke (1824-1896), daughter of Johann Relke (1791-1853) and Catharina Margaretha Repp (b. 1798), in 1845. Ancestors emigrated from Germany to Russia from 1764 to 1767.

Description
Martin Hauck, son of Martin Hauck and Barbara Sonnenberger, was born 10 February 1683 in Wessingen, Hohenzollern. He married Anna Maria Kunz, daughter of Georg Kunz and Eva Scherer, in 1712. They had eight children. Many of their descendants immigrated to America.
