Robert Allen (1813-1892) was the son of Samuel Allen (1790-1838) and Letitia Cochran (1791-1851) of Castle Finn, County Donegal and of Crew Church, County Tyrone, Ireland. Robert and his cousin William were the first to emigrate to America in 1833, as they were about to be arrested for opposing the "Papist" persecutions. John R. Hardin (1729-1810) settled in North Carolina and married Mary Ann Nevins. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Hardin, with some spellings of Harden or Harding) and relatives lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, Oregon, Arizona, California and elsewhere. James Ailor was born about 1774 in Maryland. He married Sallie Sharp about 1804 in Tennessee. He had traveled to Tennessee with the Sharp family several years before their marriage. They had 14 children, several of whom moved to Missouri after 1835. Information on their descendants is included in this material. Descendants now live in Missouri, Tennessee, California, Nevada, and elsewhere.

James Gallaher (ca. 1730-1792) was born in Ireland. He and his wife, Sarah E. Miller, were in the Cumberland Valley in Pennsylvania in 1762. They later settled in Washington County, Tennessee in 1783. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, California, Washington, Minnesota and elsewhere.
