Barnabas Gallaher was born about 1722 in Ireland. He immigrated to America in about 1770. He died in 1792 in Greensburgh, Pennsylvania. He was survived by four sons and a daughter. Traces ancestors, descendants and relatives in Ireland, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Washington and elsewhere. The family is related by marriage to Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of President Abraham Lincoln.

Willam Murray Clayton is a descendant of John M. Clayton who was born in Maryland, March 10, 1820 and died December 31, 1877. John married Elizabeth Lamm on December 24, 1844. William M. Clayton's mother was Iola Marguerite Farnsworth, the daughter of George William Farnsworth 1870 and Cordelia Gallaher 1875.

Anthony Kimble married Matilda Morrey and lived in Pennsylvania, where he died before 1735. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia and elsewhere.

Abraham Lay was born in about 1700 in England. He married Sarah Grimes in Loudoun County, Virginia. They had eleven children. He died in 1785. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, Illinois and Texas.

William Alford Caldwell (1858-1949) was born in Saline Co., Arkansas to David C. and Adeline Caldwell. He married Sallie P. Townsend (1864-1938), daughter of Rev. Hinyard and Elizabeth B. Townsend, 1882 in Benton, Saline Co., Arkansas. She was born in Carroll Co., Mississippi. They had eleven children, who were born in Arkansas, Texas and New Mexico. James Hollis was born 22 June 1759 in Bedford County, Virginia. His parents were James Hollis and Anne (Cunningham?). He married Sarah Drake and they had four children. He married Sarah Choate and they had twelve children. He died in 1844 in Wayne County, Tennessee.

The progenitor of the Missouri clan of the Bigger/Biggers family, William Bigger (b. ca. 1650), was of Scottish descent and came to Colonial America ca. 1671 settling in New Kent Co., Va. He was married to Martha Woodward, daughter of William Woodward. They had only one child, William II (b. 1680).
