Richard Michlethwaite Galloway, son of Richard Micklethwaite and Amelia Galloway, was born in 1861 in Barnsley, Yorkshire, England. He married Mary Elizabeth Kay Walker, daughter of James Walker (1846-1904) and Martha Haigh, in 1881 in Hull, Yorkshire, England. They had fourteen children. They emigrated in 1903 and settled in Utah. He died in 1936 in Logan, Utah.

Enoch Galloway, Sr. (1798-1864) was the son of William and Katherine Galloway of Pennsylvania. He married his first wife, Micheal Clary, in Belmont Co., Ohio.
