Jacob Gerber (b.1732) was born in the German Palatinate of Swiss immigrant parents, and immigrated (via Rotterdam) to Philadelphia in 1753 with his brothers, Michael and Simon. He settled on land near Johnsville, Maryland. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Garber) and relatives lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and elsewhere. Includes other Garber/Gerber immigrants. Includes history of the Garber Association and its reunions.

Noah E. Miller was born 29 July 1860 in Ohio or Pennsylvania He was the son of Eli D. Miller and lived with his parents on their family farm in Holmes Co., Ohio. Eli was a member of the Amish Church but married a Lutheran girl named Sophronia Hummel 12 January 1882 in Bedford, Ohio. They were the parents of fourteen children. Eli died 21 May 1910. Descendants lived primarily in Ohio and elsewhere.

Philip Klingman was born in about 1710 in Germany. He died in 1774 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Descendant, William Charles Klingman, son of Franklin Klingman (1855-1922) and Charlotte Miller, was born in 1883. He married Mabel Martha Eickman, daughter of William Eickman and Emma Runte, in 1909 in Chester, Nebraska. They had nine children.

Benedict Garber (1732-1817) immigrated from Germany to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He married Dorothea Loreht, and also served in the Revolutionary War. His direct descendant, Printon Garber (1851-1936) moved to Minnesota in 1884 and changed his name to John H. Allen. Descendants lived in Minnesota.
