John Gensel (1753-1819) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He married (1) Margaret Jeyser in 1775 in Charleston, South Carolina and (2) Hannah Lane in 1800 in Charleston. He later died in Charleston. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and elsewhere.

Mary Ann Fair was born ca. 1815 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of William Fair, Jr. and Margaret Gensel. She married Peter G. Bessent (1803-1867) in 1827 in Charleston. Fair ancstry is traced to William Fair I, born ca. 1685 in Coldington, Berwick, Scotland who married Mary Brookless. Others lines are traced to DeVeaux, Martin, deBourdeaux families of France and Gensel family and others.

Barnabas Gallaher was born about 1722 in Ireland. He immigrated to America in about 1770. He died in 1792 in Greensburgh, Pennsylvania. He was survived by four sons and a daughter. Traces ancestors, descendants and relatives in Ireland, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Washington and elsewhere. The family is related by marriage to Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of President Abraham Lincoln.

Barbara Swint (ca. 1733-1806) was born in Germany. She married (1) John Fyfer ca. 1754, (2) John Boomer in 1759 in Charleston, South Carolina, and (3) Frederick Kreitner in 1774 in Charleston. She had a brother, John Swint (1718/19-1781) who was born in Derlinger, Mosbach, Baden, Germany and died in Charleston. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Georgia, and elsewhere.

James A. McCartney, son of Isaac McCartney and Mary Jamieson, was born in 1745 in Belfast, Londonderry, Ireland. He married Mary Molly Jamieson (1758-1846), daughter of Francis Jamison and Margaret in about 1778 in Pennsylvania. They had nine children. He died in 1836 in Concord Township, Ross County, Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, Oregon and Washington.
