Jonathan Gillet (d.1677) immigrated in 1630 from England to Dorchester, Massachusetts, and moved to Windsor, Connecticut about 1636. His descendants of the sixth generation, Daniel M. Gillet (1782- 1853), was the son of Aaron Gillet (1732-1786), a Revolutionary War soldier. He married 1) Mary Leach (d. 1808) in 1803. They had three children, 1804-1807. Nathaniel Foote (ca.1593-1644) married Elizabeth Deming about 1615, and immigrated from England to Watertown, Massachusetts, and they later were among the first settlers of Wethersfield, Connecticut.
