George William Ellis was born about 1883 in North Carolina. He married Jettie Jane Anderson. Their children included Avery, Lelia, Brunner, Luther, Paul and Liddie. The family moved to Virginia. Their descendant Steven Carl Ellis (b. 1963) married Shawna Gwen Hudson (b. 1968) in 1996.
