William Perez Schrock (ca. 1763-1848) was probably born in Virginia, near Winchester. He married Jane Means and nine of their twelve children grew up in what is now Romney, West Virginia. After her death in 1835, he went to Westerville, Ohio to live with their son, George. Descendants and relatives also lived in Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming, Oregon, California and elsewhere.

John Riley was born 10 July 1799 in either Estill or Bourbon County, Kentucky, son of Leven Riley and Elizabeth Parish. John married Arre Noland on 23 May 1822 in Estill County, Kentucky. She was born 30 November 1800 in Estill Co., daughter of Jesse Noland and Abigail Whitaker. Ten children were born to this union. He died 23 February 1872 at N. E. Brunswick, Chariton County, Missouri and Arre died 26 November 1874 also in N. E. Brunswick.
