John Goode of Whitby, Virginia (1620-25-1709) left England for Barbados and later came to Virginia ca. 1650. He was married to (1) Frances Mackarness, (2) Anne Bennett. His descendant, Lucy Goode Tucker (1805-1854), married Edward R. Chambers (1795-1872) in 1824. He was a descendant of Thomas Chambers who lived in Lunenburg County, Virginia in 1764.
