Description
Henry Goding was master of the British ship "Abigail" which visited Massachusetts Bay in 1628. His son, William Goding, was an apprentice in 1640, to Comfort Starr, of Cambridge and Duxbury, Massachusetts, but later returned to Middlesex County where he died. Descendants lived in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota and elsewhere.

William Quinby (b.ca.1600) is said to have been a grandson of Thomas Quinby of Farnham, England. William immigrated about 1638 with two sons, John and Thomas, and possibly other children, landed near Salem, Massachusetts and settling at Stratford, Connecticut. Jean Pierre (John Peter) Le Sourd, son of Jean Pierre and Hannah Provost Le Sourd, was born about 1760 in France. "He enlisted at Mayene, France, on March 19, 1777, embarked at Brest for America April 7, 1780, and arrived at New Port, Rhode Island, in July 1780.
