John Jackson (Jack) Berry was born 15 June 1818 in Edgefield, South Carolina, posssibly the son of Wiley H. and Mildred Rountree Berry. John had a twin brother named Peter. Henry Renbarger (1793-1823) was born to George Renbarger (1760-1852) and Nancy Potts (1765-?). Henry married Elizabeth Hatfield (1794-1837) in 1814 in Hardin County, Kentucky. He married secondly Susanna (Jackson) Diller (1813-1862) in 1843 in Grant County, Indiana. There were fifteen children from Henry's marriages.
